Transfer to Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (UAS) from another Finnish UAS

You can be transferred to same or similar degree programme at Mikkeli UAS where you have been studying as an attending student at another Finnish UAS.

You must have a valid study right in another UAS and you should have completed a minimum of 45 credits/academic year. The applicants are ranked on the basis of completed credits and grades.

Study right

Your study right has begun on the day you have accepted the study place at another UAS. Please enclose with the transfer student application a certificate of study confirming the semesters used for attendance and non-attendance.

A transfer student admitted to Mikkeli UAS can begin his/her studies in the beginning of the next autumn or spring semester at the earliest. Beginning the studies during an academic semester is not possible.

Since you are transferring your study right to Mikkeli UAS, you must resign from the UAS where you have been studying in before. When you have received a notice of admission from Mikkeli UAS, you must deliver a certificate of resignation from the UAS you have resigned from to Mikkeli UAS before the beginning of your studies.

Transfer within Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences

A student of Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences can be transferred to another degree programme to study the same degree in the same field of study when the admission criteria for the programmes have been the same. A transfer from one field of study to another (to another degree) requires applying as a new student according to the regular application procedure (joint application system).

The principles above apply to admission of transfer students in all Finnish and English language degree programmes.
