World´s longest letter to Santa was written in Finland
The world´s longest letter to Santa is written in Finland. The letter is 657 meters long and consists of 3668 individual letters. Writers were mainly secondary school students around Finland.
The letters were combined to one long letter and it will be delivered to Santa Claus before Christmas.
The possibility to write to Santa was offered by Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences and Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences. The letters were written at an educational fair Studia 30th November and 1st December 2011.
Writers wished lots of different things. Many wished for world peace and love but cars, mobile phones, computers, woolen stockings and chocolate were quite popular. Due to warm fall in Finland there were many wishes of snow as well.
Previous world record letter to Santa was 413 meters long and written by group of Romanian pupils.
