Would you like to become an environmental engineer understanding environmental economics and accounting, environmental management and corporate social responsibility? In Environmental Engineering Degree Programme students will develop a wide range of skills and knowledge relevant to today’s business environment. The students have a possibility to gain international experiences through a study period abroad, and also in Mikkeli through several visiting lecturers and students from the partner universities abroad.
The aim of the programme is to coach students for administrative or expertise positions in public or private sector. In the working life the tasks can include planning and organising environmental matters of an organisation taking into consideration the concepts of economical, environmental and social responsibility. The tasks may include also supervisory and teaching or consulting tasks.

Objective of the Degree Programme
The objective of the Degree Programme in Environmental Engineering is to educate environmental professionals possessing theoretical and practical expertise in environmental technology and management. The degree programme provides the students with sound knowledge of technical possibilities for sustainable protection of our living environment, and the economically and environmentally best practises for an enterprise.
The degree programme offers the students an insight to international aspects as well as a national perspective, which enables the students to plan their career in different kinds of working environments. During their studies the students can participate in different kinds of projects, which are carried out in cooperation with working life.
