Applying

The Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences is an institution of higher education offering degree programmes in the fields of Natural Resources, Business and Administration, Technology and Transport, Social Work and Health Care, Culture, Tourism, Catering and Institutional Management as well as Humanities and Education. The Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences has campuses in the towns of Mikkeli and Savonlinna, both located in the picturesque Lake Region of Eastern Finland.
Students from partner institutions of the Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences are welcome to apply for the following studies:

  • Physiotherapy (practical training only, Savonlinna)
  • Podiatry (practical training only, Savonlinna)

The application periods:

for the autumn term and the whole academic year April 1 - May 15
for the spring term September 1 - October 15

We use an online application for incoming exchange students. We kindly ask you to fill in the requested information and submit the application and the required attachments to us.
Attachments should be sent by the application deadline!

Exchange students to Mikkeli

When your application is complete and approved we will send the admission documents for you to the coordinator at your home institution. Information on course schedules will be e-mailed directly to the student. Accommodation needs to be applied from the local housing company MOAS. Detailed information about accommodation is available here. MAMOK (Mikkeli Student Union) releases Survival Kits for exchange students. As soon as you know the exact date and time of your arrival, please email us (at least two weeks prior to arrival) and we try to arrange a tutor to pick you up from central station in Mikkeli. The train and bus timetables can be found at www.vr.fi and www.matkahuolto.fi.

Exchange students to Savonlinna

Exchange students are also welcome to Savonlinna. In Savonlinna accommodation is provided through SAO (the Savonlinna Students' and Young Persons' Housing Company. You are asked to inform us of the exact date and time of your arrival as soon as possible to be able to arrange a tutor to meet you at the railway station, bus station or at the airport.
