R&D - Fiber Laboratory
FiberLaboratory
FiberLaboratory is a research unit of Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences in Savonlinna. The operation started in the end of 2005 in new own research facilities. The building offers working space for
25- 30 persons. There are also laboratory facilities of 100 m2 and 12m high trial run hall 600 m2. At the moment the are 20 workers in FiberLaboratory.
The development of technology and innovations and raising the competitiveness of the companies in Eastern Savo in the global market are the most important targets of FiberLaboratory’s tasks among the own research work and education. Pilot hall and analysis laboratory is utilized for the various experimental research work in FiberLaboratory. In addition of Mikkeli University of applied sciences also the research unit of Lappeenranta University operates in the building.
