Tourism and Event Management

In the field of tourism and event management, the research and development activities of the Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (Mikkeli UAS) support leisure industry through the design of novel product and service concepts. The following themes are studied in Mikkeli UAS:

• welfare tourism
• cultural events
• nature and experience tourism
• food services
• services for Russian tourists

Mikkeli UAS research facilities include research and teaching restaurant Talli, sensory evaluation laboratory, food laboratory and event production service centre Tuottamo.
