Mikkeli is a lively town with most beautiful lake scenery, combination of interesting history and traditions, active business, high education and research, culture, nature and internationality. Mikkeli has approximately 50 000 inhabitants and there are over 6,000 students studying in the city.

Multidisciplinary and International Main Campus

Virtual Campus TourThe Main Campus of Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (Mikkeli UAS) is one of the most multidisciplinary campus areas in Finland - we have students on seven different study fields. There are 3500 students and 300 staff members at the Main Campus. In addition to Mikkeli UAS there are 25 companies and societies operating at the Campus area, which history dates back to 19th century and is former military base.

International business professionals

Studies for the Bachelor of Business Administration degree are offered in Finnish and English on Main Campus. The Business management programme lectured in English offers students the possibility to develop a wide range of skills and knowledge relevant to modern business. The studies are closely integrated into the local working life.

Engineering studies in modern laboratories

With the support of extensive and diverse research and development activities and modern laboratories and studios, students have great possibilities to study and work in projects during their studies. Mikpoli IT Centre gathers together the information and media technology related teaching, research, product development and business at Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences.

In addition to the engineering studies offered in Finnish, there are two Bachelor's degree programmes lectured in English: Environmental engineering and Information technology.

Double degrees in different fields of study

Studies in English are also offered in Double degree programmes that are available for students from Mikkeli UAS double degree partner universities, for example in the field of Building services engineering and Hospitality management.

Restaurant Talli - learning environment for hospitality management students

Restaurant Talli operates as a lunch-, meeting-, a la carte- and private booking restaurant and as the teaching restaurant for hospitality management students.
