International summer term

Summer term 2012 takes place between May 14th - August 24th. Totally ten courses are arranged in Business, Information Technology and Environmental Engineering. The course about Finnish Culture is primarily meant for foreign exchange students.The courses are taught by Mikkeli UAS teachers and professors from our partner universities from USA, Canada, Russia, Spain, Germany and The Netherlands.

Besides the studies Mikkeli UAS will organise a variety of free time activities for the summer term students, such as cooking lessons, sauna-evenings and trips to Finnish nature and cities nearby Mikkeli. These activities are appreciated among summer term students.

A Truly International Experience

Participation the summer term courses provided by Mikkeli UAS is not just about improving one’s knowledge of a particular field of study. It is also about expanding one’s understanding of other cultures. Students have the opportunity to work together on course assignments, interact with lecturers from other countries and make new friends. In addition, summertime in Finland is a memorable experience, with plenty of warm sunshine
and long summer nights. Students who travel to Mikkeli may take advantage
of its location to explore Finland and cities in neighbouring countries such as St. Petersburg in Russia, Tallinn in Estonia and Stockholm in Sweden.

Efist-network (Eastern Finland International Summer Term)

EFIST -network offers more than 20 courses mainly in Business and Engineering. The courses are delivered in different towns in the region of Eastern Finland: Mikkeli, Imatra and Lappeenranta. This provides a new chance to participate courses organized by different Universitíes of
